Eyes protection

Eye protection refers to protective clothing for the eyes, which comes in many types depending upon the threat that is to be reduced.
Sunglasses: protect against high levels of visible and ultraviolet light.
Safety glasses: protect against flying debris but may also protect against visible and near visible light or radiation.
Welding glass: is a more extreme implementation of the same idea, suited to the more intense light generated during welding. Grade 14 welding glass (which is much stronger than sunglasses) can also be used to stare directly at the sun ( to view a solar eclipse).
Goggles: are forms of protective eyewear that usually enclose or protect the eye area in order to prevent particulates, infectious fluids, or chemicals from striking the eyes.
Laser protection eyewear: is used to protect eyes from damage from visible and invisible wavelegths of laser light. They can be similar to goggles or be lenses incorporated into other pieces of protective eyewear. Intrabeam viewing of lasers usually requires a low power laser even with protective goggles. Laser protection goggles work on the basis that laser light is one frequency, making it easy to filter out. Laser goggles are subject to degradation and damage like any other kind of eyewear.
A visor is a surface that protects the eyes, such as shading them from the sun or other bright light or protecting them from objects.
Types of visors include:
+ A type of hat consisting only of a visor and a way to fasten it to the head.
+ The transparent or semi-transparent front part of a motorcycle crash helmet or police riotsquad helmet
+ Any such vertical surface on any hat or helmet Any such horizontal surface on any hat or helmet (called a peak in British English).
- The part of a helmet in a suit of armor that protects the eyes.
- A device in an automobile that the driver or front passenger can lower over part of the windshield to block the sun (sun visor).
- A shield to protect the eyes from sunlight on a flight helmet, or an American football helmet.
- Green eyeshades, worn by accountants and others engaged in vision-intensive, detail-oriented occupations.
